Carrington Centennial Hospital for Convalescents, opened in 1890 in Camden, NSW, embodied Florence Nightingale’s principles, emphasizing fresh air and proper ventilation for recovery. Established by philanthropist WH Paling, it was the first major convalescent facility in New South Wales, providing a restorative environment away from the urban pollution.

The annual festival of farming returns to the Camden Showground at the end of March again. The show has been the most crucial country festival in the district for over 100 years. In 2019 the show attracted over 40,000 visitors and was a huge success.

Greens Motorcade Museum Park, a prominent car museum in Leppington, opened in 1974 and showcased George Green's extensive vintage car collection. It featured historical attractions and community events but closed in 1982 after Green's death. Iconic vehicles, such as a Leyland P76 and a 1922 Stanley Steamer, are now part of various collections.
